Today, Android and iOS users, alike, can enjoy the convenience of having cancellations, renewals, and commissions at their fingertips.
In September 2020, The DBL Center announced the launch of our Broker Dashboard: Net Revenue Tracker in The App Store for iOS (iPhone and iPad) users.
It could not have come at a better time, as brokers grappled with the challenges of working from home, the end of in-person meetings with clients, and the constant fear, doubt, and uncertainty that surrounded the pandemic.
But the history of this helpful software goes back even further.
The Launch of Broker Dashboard: Net Revenue Tracker
In the summer of June 2019, we introduced the cloud-based version of Broker Dashboard: Net Revenue Tracker (NRT). Brokers could access this powerful platform, more than two years in the making, from any internet-enabled device, including their office workstation, laptop computer, or their mobile phone’s web browser.
Our development team worked hard to make it responsive, intuitive, and useful. Brokers began tracking their renewals, cancellations, and commissions with a few clicks.
After all, DBL Center founder David Cohen always shared two mantras. (He actually shared many more words of wisdom throughout his lifetime, but these two directly relate to Broker Dashboard!)
- “Nickels, dimes, and quarters make dollars.”
- “It’s not what you earn, it’s what you keep.”
You can add the famous business advice typically attributed to Peter Drucker: “You can’t improve what you don’t measure.”
Those three sentences, together, provide the entire raison d’etre for our Broker Dashboard.
My father used to keep The DBL Center ledger in a notebook with a number two pencil. It was the lifeblood of the business, the means to track it all. After he passed away, I started looking at those ledgers and wondering how I could update them for the digital age.
Since I became CEO of The DBL Center, we have been a tech-forward company. We focus on inbound marketing, SEO, and now, our monthly newsletter. We have re-launched our website several times over the years to keep it modern, up-to-date, and helpful to our brokers. Relationships always come first, but I’m always looking for ways to streamline and simplify business operations through technology.
That’s where our Broker Dashboard comes in.
Broker Dashboard Functionality
Through the app, brokers can track:
- Pending cancellations so they can be proactive about avoiding them and keep that money within their organization – and in their pocket.
- Renewals, so that brokers can touch base with clients, shop policies for a better rate, and use the savings to enhance employee benefits
- Commissions to help manage cash flow.
Our system also sends automated emails every two weeks, so brokers don’t have to remember to check the app. Several brokers recently reached out to let us know they loved this feature of the Broker Dashboard:
- “They are helpful, especially for the team that enters all the direct bill commission. I believe they get the updates as well.”
- “They are very much appreciated. It helps us to navigate which clients need attention in keeping their policies in force.”
Broker Dashboard: NRT Now Available for Android and iOS
Since May 2021, Broker Dashboard: Net Revenue Tracker has been available to our brokers, free through Google Play for Android users and The App Store for iOS.
Most people manage their lives through their phones, from ordering food to staying up-to-date on the news. Why not manage these crucial aspects of your business easily, on the go?
