Plus… important deadlines for brokers.
Between 10% and 28% of workers across the US freelance or earn a portion of their income from gigs.
Whether they’re hanging out a “consultant” shingle to share years of hard-earned advice or driving for Uber, they deserve the same benefits as W-2 employees.
But the law doesn’t require 1099 independent contractors to carry paid family leave or disability insurance.
Did you know The DBL Center, as your full-service, white-glove insurance wholesaler, can help you expand your book of business by writing DBL and PFL for independent contractors?
Through our trusted network of carriers, we can write stand-alone PFL or bundle it with DBL, life insurance and other ancillary benefits to alleviate some of the financial stress independent gig workers often feel.
Read more about how to write stand-alone PFL for independent contractors here.
Need Form DB-120.1 for your clients?
Businesses in New York who privatize DBL insurance must show form DB-120.1 to the state to show proof of coverage. Only licensed insurance carriers can issue these forms. They aren’t hard to find or access – but it’s a tedious process.
The DBL Center can access these forms for your clients, saving you time and hassle. As your back-office staff, we are here to make your life easier and help you save time.
Through our Broker Dashboard: Net Revenue Tracker, you can track commissions, cancellations and renewals. This exclusive platform is available only to brokers who write their policies through The DBL Center as their insurance wholesaler.
