Our Founder, David J. Cohen, began his career in the insurance industry in the 1970s, owning and operating a licensed insurance organization since 1976, certified and approved to sell insurance in all 50 states. The agency was incorporated under the name The DBL Center Ltd. on Long Island, New York in 1983.

In 2014 we acquired Combined DBL, a Nassau County, Long Island, General Agency.

We currently serve more than 4000 insurance agents across 15 states, with a luxury premium block of $50 million thanks to the acquisition of combined DBL and our long list of loyal insurance brokers.

In 2017, David’s son, Michael Cohen, took over the business as President and CEO, keeping DBL Center a family-owned and operated wholesale insurance general agency.

Michael, along with the rest of our tight-knit team, possesses a wealth of connections and the strong relationships that enable The DBL Center, Ltd. to offer our insurance agent partners white-glove service and an elite list of select carriers dedicated to providing the lowest insurance rates to expand their book of business and increase commissions.
